THE BALVENIE - MADE BY HEART

A new angle on craft for a premium single malt made the old way.

‘Craft’ is everywhere in the premium whisky category. So we helped The Balvenie develop a distinctive positioning by digging a little deeper.

In partnership with design agency Here, we developed ‘Made by Heart’ as a platform to explore the special ingredient that really makes anything handmade truly special:

Love.

Launched in print in 2019 (left), the positioning we’d brought to life with strategy, brand manifesto and concept development later permitted The Balvenie to enter into collaborations with other hand-making artisans to create jewellery, footwear and works of art - all turning new audiences on to The Balvenie’s genuine, deep love for the craft of whiskey.
